The Udder Farm Shop was built in September 2005 as a result of the growing demand for an alternative to supermarket shopping.

Our main aim is to provide our customers with the highest quality, tastiest and most irresistible range of food specialities from Dorset and the surrounding counties, only looking further a-field when choice and quality is not available closer to home.

Our Butchery department stocks local meats and game and will cater for all your specific requirements.

In January 2008 we expanded our shop and relocated our coffee shop to an oak room extension. This has enabled us to provide a beautiful environment for breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas.

Many of the goods that we sell are sourced as locally as possible supporting in excess of 40 local businesses and producers, therefore attempting to bring down our food miles below those of local supermarkets. We stock an attractive and mouth-watering display of speciality and essential grocery items providing you with everything you need to complete your shopping list.

• Daily delivery of milk and cream from Blackmore Vale Dairy (this includes our own milk from the farm here)

• Handmade preserves from Garden Gate just across the field

• Dorset honey from two local producers

• Handmade soaps and cosmetics form the next door village

• Delicious home made cakes from Lavender Blue in Gillingham

• Tasty ready meals and desserts from Cook

• Daily delivery of bread from Taylor's bakery in Bruton

• Freshly frozen fruits , Yorkshire puddings and croissants etc

• Hand made meringues from Wiltshire

• A delicious range of ice creams from Barford Farm Dorset

We have also added to the extensive shop floor a Fresh Food Deli Counter and olive bar where our deli staff ensure our counter is bursting with tasty UK speciality cheeses sourced both locally and regionally. You can also choose from a spread of homemade meat, fish and vegetarian pates, home cooked meats, home made faggots, scotch eggs and quiches. This is the new convenience food - we do all the hard work for you and you get to enjoy the taste sensations sprung from local soils.

Our new fully licensed Restaurant and Coffee Shop opened in January 2008 giving you breathtaking and beautiful panoramic views of Duncliffe wood and the surrounding countryside.

This bright, lofty oak room makes the perfect place to kick start your day with a full English breakfast and coffee from 8.30 in the morning, or refresh while shopping with an afternoon tea.

Our lunch specials and traditional Sunday roasts can now be enjoyed with a relaxing glass of wine or local ale away from the hustle and bustle of the shop next door.

Our staff work diligently in the kitchen to produce the opposite of ‘fast food' - fresh, wholesome, homemade specials made with a personal touch of flair.
