Description:
Weymouth Skatepark - The Front
The Front Weymouth Skatepark, one of the UK's top outdoor extreme sports venues for BMX, Skateboards and Rollerblades. It is situated next door to Weymouth Sealife Centre .
Staff and volunteers are all very friendly and try their best to make you feel welcome and will answer any questions you may have. They offer a wide range of skill levels starting from beginners all the way up to pro. Sessions run all year round, after school, at weekends, and in school holidays.
The ramps are suitable for all ages and abilities, and first-aid trained staff and Skatepark volunteers provide supervision and support. Everyone is welcome, including groups (under-8s need to be accompanied by an adult).
There is a simple membership scheme, entry fees are kept as low as possible. Some skateboards and rollerblades are for hire.
Volunteering schemes allow local young people to use the ramps in exchange for helping out with tasks. User feedback is always welcome, and users have the opportunity to play a part in the planning of major developments. If you do not bring a helmet they are supplied in the office next to the snack bar for 50p (to hire!)
"The skatepark is constantly being updated with a wide variety of new ramps from bowls to handrails." quote from a Skatepark Volunteer.
