Description:
Highcliffe is the most Easterly beach in Dorset and has stunning views of the Isle of Wight. It is located off Wharncliffe Road and signposted from the A35 and the A337. It can be reached from the clifftop car park known as the Crow's nest and there is ample parking for busy times.The beach is shingle and is safe for children and a selection of watersports can be enjoyed, specifically set out between the groynes, the area between H0 and H8 for swimmers and between H8 and H11 for watersports.
There is a restaurant situated alongside the car park called the Cliffhanger, and public toilets are located nearby. There is also a picnic area.
The town of Highcliffe is a short level walk from the car park and has a variety of shops including many cafes bars and restaurants.
Wilts and Dorset run a bus service between Bournemouth and Lymington stopping at the centre of Highcliffe village. (routes 121 and 123).
Pets are permitted between groynes H8 and H11 from May 1 until September 30. Dogs must be kept on a lead on the promenade.

Highcliffe Castle a restored Victorian mansion with a visitor centre, gift shop, tea-rooms and facilities for exhibitions and events.
Open 11am - 5pm daily in summer.
The Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre at Christhurch has a variety of activities for children of all ages.
