Description:

The Blandford Town Museum is the centre of collections relating to all aspects of life in the Blandford Forum area. Exhibits cover prehistoric and historic periods with exhibits in archaeology, Roman occupation, Georgian and Victorian life and Blanford during the war years.

Special exhibits are Victorian toys and domestic life, as well as an exact working scale model of the Somerset and Dorset Railway at Blandford.

Schools programmes are available for all these topics. The museum also has a programme for16-20 year-olds and a Saturday family club for younger children. Adult courses and workshops are available on various subjects.
