More Ryanair at Bournemouth Airport

02 August 2009

Description:

Ryanair adds new routes to its Bournemouth timetable !

If you enjoy winter sun you will be over the moon to learn that Ryanair have added three new routes to their winter timetable from Bournemouth Airport.

The budget airline recently announced that from October 2009 it would be flying to the popular resorts of Arrecife in Lanzarote, Las Palmas in Gran Canaria and Tenerife South.

The move further cements Ryanair's dedication to their base at Bournemouth Airport following a disturbing announcment that they would be cutting their Stanstead flights by 30% this winter, blaming high taxes for the decision.

Ryanair said the expansion into the Canary Islands routes was due to the "zero" tourist taxes in Spain and the 100% discount on airport charges this winter.

Ryanair's sales & marketing executive, Ashley Casey, said: "Ryanair is delighted to announce these three new Canary Island sun destinations to and from Bournemouth Airport, which will allow us to bring more low fares, more competition and choice to even more consumers and visitors to and from the South West coast. All three sun routes are on sale now for flights until March 2010, allowing passengers to book the guaranteed lowest fares to the sun this winter."

The new routes to Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Tenerife start on October 28, November 1, and October 26, respectively.

Ryanair first began flying out of Bournemouth Airport in May 1996 with a daily service to Dublin and has since expanded its destination portfolio to include Barcelona, Marseille, Milan and Malaga.

There will be a limited number of seats released at £32 one-way including taxes and charges, until Wednesday August 5.
