Goldy's farm shop in Lychett Matravers is celebrating the arrival of the latest edition to their donkey family. The female donkey is the eighth to be born to dad Barnaby and mum Coco, and one lucky visitor will have the honour of naming her.
The farm shop is running a competition where families can visit the donkeys and pick a name for the new edition to the clan. The competition closes on 7 September after which Mark Bartlett and Cathy Lister, who look after the donkey family, will pick a winning name out of the entries. The winner will receive a porcelain donkey as a prize.
The money raised will in part be used to look after the donkeys and the rest will go to a chosen charity.
The new arrivals parents originally came from a farm in Winchester and are both 18 years old
