Dorset Events Friday 30th October

This Friday and Saturday get yourself down to Bumbles Nightclub in Bournemouth for the start their Howling Halloween Weekend and have a Witches Brew shot thrust into your hand - hubble, bubble, toil and trouble - plus lots of prizes and promotions throughout each night. Be very afraid!

If you like your entertainment sitting down and much less scary then start with Rhod Gilbert at the Pavilion theatre in Bournemouth or the Brass Monkeys, a rock and soul band performing at the Kings Arms, Bleke Street, Shaftesbury. For the more mature among you then why not enjoy the Nolans at the Windsor Hall at the BIC in Bournemouth who are currently touring together for the first time in 25 years or Beveley Craven one of the UKs most succesful singer songwriters at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne.

Dorset Event Saturday 31st October

Second night of Bumbles Howling Halloween Weekend or get yourself down to Toko's in Bournemouth for their Halloween Ball with a spooky and scary dress code. Sorry but you have to be over 18, otherwise it might be too frightening. Don't want to be too scared then try the Hamsters at the Stour Hall, The Exchange, Sturminster Newton. The rodents return and will be doing their Hendrix/ZZ Top set. For a change why not have a night out with royalty. Queen in the form of Gary Mullen will be performing all the Queen classics at the Lighthouse in Poole, so no doubt the spirit of Freddie Mercury will be about this Halloween. As part of their UK tour check out Bloc Party who are performing at the BIC in Bournemouth before embarking on the sold out European leg of their "Intimacy" World Tour. Finally at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne, Ralph McTell , once described by Billy Connolly as Britain's best singer songwriter. Take a 90 minute journey through four decades of music.

Dorset Events Sunday 1st November

Why not visit the Stitch & Stone exhibition of various artists work at the Exchange in Sturminster Newton starting on 1st November and running to 4th December or Bournemouth Macmillan Christmas Fair at the Connaught Hotel at Westcliff in Bournemouth where you will find over 20 stalls of xmas gifts and all for a worthwhile cause.

Dorset Events for Children this Halloween

Enter into the spirit of Halloween this weekend by trying ghostly walks by the sea at Weymouth's Nothe Fort. Just a short hop away there is the Haunted Halloween at Portland Castle. Why not lift your spirits with a Pumpkin Hunt at Compton Acres or visit the beautful Bennetts Gardens Halloween experience. There is Spooky Fun at Lulworth Castle and Creepy Crafts at Poole Museum. Talking of spirits why not get down to Brewers Quay in Weymouth this weekend and experience their Halloween Fun Festival. If you've got the courage to go outside then try Halloween Fun Week at Farmer Palmer's Park Farm or Halloween at Adventure Wonderland. The National Trust are hosting a Halloween weekend on Brownsea Island and The Dorset Bat Group are doing dark things at Upton Country Park.

Both on 30th and 31st at the Lighthouse in Poole is "Spacehoppers" an inter-planetary adventure that will take the little ones to a distant galaxy or perhaps the "Bob the Builder" live show on 30th at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth.
