Adam Murry has described his offer for AFC Bournemouth as “very fair” and is waiting for a response from current owner Paul Baker.
Businessman Murry, based in Bournemouth is hoping to conclude a deal to buy the struggling Dorset club after putting forward a revised offer earlier today.
He has been in negotiation with Baker ever since an agreement was reached – in principle – to transfer ownership to the Murry group earlier this month.
Murry, who is working alongside former directors Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly, made his bid after carrying out further due diligence on the club.
Although the deal has yet to be signed, Murry, Mostyn and Sly have assumed responsibility for the day to day running of the club since the departure of chief executive Alastair Saverimutto.
Murry told the Daily Echo earlier today: “We have made an offer to Paul Baker and are waiting for his answer. We have had little over two weeks to formulate the offer and believe it to be very fair. We would hope to reach a satisfactory conclusion very soon.”
Baker said: “I have today received a revised offer, which I’m giving consideration to and expect to give Adam a decision by tomorrow".
