Sandbanks property is on the up

It is built on the most expensive sand dunes in the world and despite the credit crunch there are signs that Poole's premier location is bucking the current stagnated property trend.

Is it that there are indeed green shoots of recovery or are estate agent's talking property up. According to Adrian Dunford of Banks Road estate agent Tailor Made"It started busy for us in December" which was there busiest ever, selling 18 houses in the month. He confirmed there was a little dip in the spring  but it picked up again at Easter. The buyers are different in the area and most offer cash without the need for a mortgage.

Agents are now complaining that they need more properties to sell. Mr Dunsford said: "We are now running out of stock. Half-a -million pound  flats are thin on the ground. The ones on the beach are all gone apart from one. If there's nothing to sell and there's a demand, that fuels the market."
